How do i make a recovery CD for my sony vaio laptop?
i just bought a sony laptop and i have trouble finding out how to make a recovery cd. On the internet it says to go to Vaio recovery center but my laptop doesnt have this. i need help making a recovery cd Thanks ahead of time and also is the backup cd the same thing as a recovery cd?

So it doesn't have Vaio recover center??? Are you sure the discs are not already in the box, very odd for Sony to do such a thing, but anything is possible. I would suggest, if you haven't done it already, check in all the folder in the start menu and see if you see anything that is Sony recovery or something to that effect. You will find some in the "Maintenance" folder, but those are not what you are looking for. If you are still having issues finding it, I would suggest contacting Sony Tech support, they will then either direct you to the right place on the computer, or they can ship you discs, should be free of charge. Just out of curiosity, were you the one the cut the original manufacture tap, little white strip that says Sony all over it, or did you have some third party set it up? If you had some 3rd party set it up, the probably removed it while removing the crap ware, which they shouldn't have.
