Where can I find a charger for a Sony Vaio laptop cheaply?
I've just come into possession of a 2002 Sony Vaio laptop (THANKS, DAD!). I need a plug-in wall charger and advice on which internet service to start using. Any thoughts?

I bought a charger for my sister's laptop on ebay (new!) for like $13. You might be able to find one there. But then again....that's a pretty old model. Parts for it might be hard to come by.

I'd recommend eBay for this type of thing. Either that or depending on where you live, your local Craigslist/Kijiji may be a good bet. As a last resort, you can try Sony but that will be the most expensive option by far. Hope that helps.

im sure compusa can extract it ... see what they charge ... u can find those cheapo adapters online that will allow u to attach the harddrive from the laptop to a regular ide cable in a desktop ...
2 :
You can remove the hard drive yourself, and place it as a slave drive on another PC to retrieve the information on your Sony Vaio. Just be very careful not to destroy the harddrive.

DJ Rick is right. Remove the hard drive and either set the drive as a primary slave in another computer, or get a external hard drive kit for notebook hard drives (about $30) and install the drive into it. It converts the harddrive into an external hard drive. You connect it to a computer via USB and plug in the a/c power cord to supply power to the drive and that's all here is to it. Should take you under 5 minutes to assemble the hard drive into an external hard drive kit. CompUSA carries the kits. Good luck.

Which is better the Dell inspiron 15 or Sony Vaio? And is Dell 15 the same as Dell 1525?
Sony Vaio is a bit more expensive, but is it worth it? And if so, what makes it better than Dell 15?

i was looking on the Dell main page and there were some complaints about the screws coming out of the laptop and the build just not being very stable http://www1.ca.dell.com/ca/en/home/Laptops/laptop-inspiron-1545/pd.aspx?refid=laptop-inspiron-1545&s=dhs&cs=cadhs1
