I've done research on how to install (or upgrade) memory in a Sony VAIO, but all I found was for a laptop. Can someone help me on installing memory in a Sony VAIO COMPUTER ?

When I have a sony vaio?
Does it matter if a system restore CD says its for a dell computer desktop, when I have a sony vaio?
I have a windows xp system restore CD, but it says to use on a dell only. Is it possible to use on a sony vaio also?

it will not work! as in..dell is to dell, sony is to sony...

Restore CD's are made specifically for the model (or a small group of models) within the same manufacturer. This cd will not work for you since it holds not only the operating system, but the drivers for the intended computer.

Get to work on since installing Windows 7?
sony vaio laptop takes ages to boot and get to work on since installing Windows 7?
updated my vaio laptop to windows 7 from vista and have nothing but trouble since. sometimes it takes over seven minutes to get working. Also it takes an age to recognize drivers for auxiliaries on initial installation. I have reinstalled vista, then reinstalled 7 again and followed all the advice given by sony support teams but still as slow as hell to get going.
