Any advice on putting sony vaio keys back on for good?
I knocked the I key off my sony vaio by accident and now it will go back on, but comes off after about 5 minutes of typing. anyone know how to get it back on for good?

Try using a small dab of silicon sealant (any hardware store). Let it set overnight; it's advantage is that you can pry up the key in the future if needed. Do not use enough to glue the key permanently to the computer.

How do I hook my Sony Vaio Laptop to my TV?
I have a Sony Vaio Laptop (model: PCG-7R2L) with a busted screen. Whenever we turn it on it has different colors running actross the screen. I was wondering if I could hook it up to a Sony triniyron color Tv (model: KV-36FS16), if so how? I apprieciate the help. Thanks in advance. The laptop has an s-video connection;; and we tried hookinh it up, but nothing happened.

if your tv supports pc connection you can gat a data cable for around £5.00 this will connect your laptop to your tv, when this connection is accepted you will need to reset you graphics display to suite your TV. If you are in he UK we can re fit a new screen 4 you

How can i get the most out of my laptop i have intel pentium dual core procesort and it is a sony vaio ?
I have a sony vaio VGN-NR110E and i want to get the most performance out of my processor. I like to listen to music and the most applications i use are Itunes, AIM, Yahoo Messanger, and the internet thats bout it

disable startup applications you dont need go to start run type msconfig click the startup tabs at the top uncheck startup items you dont need click apply then ok restart (try checking the internet for the programs you dont need at startup) now download install ccleaner, download.com has one use the cleaner to remove temporary files and temporary internet files. i suggest you dont change anything on the checkbarlist of ccleaner, the default is enough.

Can I repair the Hard drive using a sony vaio recovery cd?
Can I repair the Hard drive using a sony vaio recovery cd?
I hv Sony vaio notebook.Recently when I start it it shows only blue screen and nothing else.I hv a recovery CD .I want to know whether i can repair my hard drive (if it has crashed) including saving all my data using recover cd? Also I want to know how to use recovery cd?

You have what is known as the Blue Screen of Death..usually a hardware failure like your hard drive. You can use your recovery disk to try to do a "automatic" system repair.. Here is the full guide on that.....just skip down to where it states: XP Repair install http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm If you can't even get your boot disk to pop up before the blue screen then you will need to boot into your bios screen by rebooting and tapping the F1 key. Once in the bios menu navigate over to boot sequence screen and choose to have your CD/DVD player to be your 1 in line to boot and then your Hard drive as second. .save and reboot again. If after the repair your windows still does not work then you will unfortunately have to do a full system recovery which will wipe your drive clean and re-install windows. If that fails then it will be something other than the hard drive...not sure
