It's an amazing brand. I would say, it's one of the best. Why i like Sony - 1. They are sleek and light weight 2. They have very good build quality 3. Sony computer manufactures quite a lot of computer parts themselves, so they don't just grab things from vendors and throw it all together 4. Price wise they may sound a little on the steeper side, but you will get good discounts, just keep looking 5. On a longer run, the laptop should really be sleek and small and portable. That's all that matters. I have a dell, bought this Feb, and it already looks outdated and junk.

They are fantastic but a little on the expensive end. It would really depend on what you need the laptop for, what components you want, and budget. A good all brand is also Toshiba.

i had one but it was just an average computer. there was nothing special about it for me. i have a mac now and they are the best. but if you prefer pc a sony vaio isnt a bad choice. a dell may be cheaper but the vaio is good but like it said, its just average

Is there a way you can use a sony vaio pc without the touchscreen and special keyboard?.i tried used a regular usb keyboard but it doesnt find it my keyboard doesnt need drivers and theres a special keyboard for it and i think it pluugs into the touchscreen and it doesnt find my regular keyobard i dont have either of them my keyboard doesnt need drivers and theres a special keyboard for it and i think it pluugs into the touchscreen and it doesnt find my regular keyobard i dont have either of them

The Keyboard u tried may need a driver to use...try to find a driver for, then install the driver, then try to use the keyboard... The number one reason why computers don't find hardware is because it doesn't have the proper driver

VAIO's are really well built and last a while, if a bit over priced. Yes i like it.

What other CD Drives/Burners are compatable with a Sony VAIO computer?
I have a CD Drive/burner on my Sony VAIO computer that will not play or burn CDs. I'm wondering if there are any other brands of burners that will work on my computer or if I have to stay with Sony hardware?

Any type will do but remember to get a dual layer burner.An OEM will do off internet,in other words just buy bare drive and replace.
